Our Story - Why we do what we do
Sick of city life, and hungry for a new adventure, Louise and Brad have set off on a trip of a lifetime to explore and capture the irreverent beauty of Australia. On their journey they will be compiling a series of programs that aim to entertain, educate and inspire its viewers by providing tips on photography, travel destination exposés and 4WD and photographic product reviews.
Outback Photographer Podcast Summary
The primary focus for our podcast is to educate. We want to put on display the latest and greatest technologies and show people how to take successful photos using this equipment in the many varied conditions of the Australian landscape. We will cover the fundamental aspects of photography such as exposure, composition, depth of field, film stock, storage devices and codecs to name but a few. We will also cover methods of importing images, manipulating and storing these images, as well as showing people the best ways of achieving quality prints from their photos. We aim to give our viewers simple and precise information on a wide range of topics that are important to professional and amateur photographers alike.

The most fulfilling element to this project will be the inspiring of budding photographers, to travel and to take photos that they can cherish and be proud of.

The natural beauty and aura of the Australian Landscape draws many people away from their comfort zones every year. Our program is all about inspiring people to go that extra mile in their travels, to take the road less travelled and explore pieces of this great continent that few or none have ever seen before.
Meet Brad Pickford, the 'Outback Photographer'
Brad has been fascinated with images his whole life. As an accomplished illustrator, award winning filmmaker and designer Brad has at every stage of his career aimed for nothing short of perfection. Brad was introduced to photography at high school, learning traditional black and white as well as colour processing. Forever striving to keep complete creative control Brad built his own photographic darkroom under his family home at the age of 15. Finishing high school in 1994, Brad enrolled at the University of Technology Sydney, where he studied photography, filmmaking and design. Leaving university, Brad started up his own design company, No Anchovies Studios, which specialised in animation and motion graphics. In 2001 Brad moved to London where he travelled through Europe and Africa. On his journeys, Brad was able to rediscover his love for photography. Returning home in late 2003, Brad has continued to explore and capture the inherent beauty of Australia.
Meet Louise Pacor, Producer of Outback Photographer series
Louise grew up in a country town in South Australia. She loves the varied landscapes Australia offers and is very excited about the trip and the new career path. Louise is a Registered Nurse and has been working in this capacity for 8 years. She has assisted Brad in video production before and looks forward to the challenge of producing Brad's work again. It can be a difficult task keeping him on time and on budget. There are always bigger and better "toys" to buy and we they are continually waiting for those clouds to be in just the right spot!
